Fault Nobody Has Fixed Yet

For repeat faults, intermittent problems and cars that have already had parts fitted.

When the obvious answer has already failed

Some faults only appear under load, when hot, intermittently or after another garage has already replaced the usual parts. These jobs need patience, measurement and a clear test path.

Tell us what has already been done, when the fault appears and what codes or messages have returned. We will decide whether the car is suitable for deeper fault-finding before more parts are thrown at it.

What happens next

You do not need to know the workshop term. Tell us the symptoms and we will explain whether the car needs servicing, fault-finding or repair work.

What we look at

  • Intermittent faults that only happen hot, cold, under load or after a long drive.
  • Repeat fault codes that return after being cleared.
  • Cars that have already had sensors, valves, coils, modules or other parts fitted elsewhere.
  • A plain-English explanation of the likely repair path once the fault is narrowed down.
